BIOGRAPHY
Born in 2001, Irène spent her childhood and teenage years abroad, a source of cultural and artistic openness. In 2019, she returned to France to continue her studies in a context that quickly became that of the Covid years, a break with her travels.
Over the last 4 years, she has used numerous artistic techniques to build up her own style. In September 2022, she decided to become a full-time painter.
Her colourful, expressive paintings are transcriptions of images from her subconscious in a strong, singular universe that leaves room for interpretation. The recurring themes in her work are violence against women and oneself, the affirmation of a conquering femininity, the conjuring up of personal demons, the meaning of life and a critique of society.
