Emmanuel Segaut studied press – communication relations, then became a journalist in the regional daily press. He then resumed studies in cinematographic analysis and writing in Brussels and has since worked in the audiovisual sector.
After having been, for several years, a cinema technician (stage manager, decoration, assistant director), Emmanuel Segaut is now developing his own projects for writing fiction and documentaries.
He has just written and directed Reconquer the School, a 52-minute documentary that follows the time of a school year, the work of writing up-and-coming students in the microlycée du Bourget.
In addition to his films, Emmanuel developed his passion for images on other media, in particular through pictures taken during visits to museums. He drew his inspiration from Bauhaus, architecture and contemporary art to today embark on the production of his own photographs.
